| My slogan during the recent campaign for Oldham County Judge Executive was "Together We Can Do Better". My vision for Oldham County is that we will be the best suburban/rural community in the nation. Our county must have leaders who will cast a vision in the broadest possible terms. |

| However, we must create a process to flesh out the vision with the most consensuses possible. A community's vision belongs to the people of the community . . . not just community leaders! The leaders' job is to assure legislative (in our case, Fiscal Court) approval, and finally put in place the plans and procedures to implement the vision. |

This is the basis for which we have formed the Oldham County Vision Council. The Vision Council is made up of twenty (20) citizens, community leaders and business owners from across the county. The goal and objective given to this council is simple . . . Describe the vision of what Oldham County should be in five years! |
